[ time to catch up with one of his mentees! [

[ naegi likes keeping in touch with them, checking up on them every now and then to make sure that they're getting through school (and not dying because of murder games) so this is what he's doing now with kiyotaka. they're meeting up just outside of school before they walk to a cafe to sit down and catch up so naegi just stands at their agreed meet-up spot, rubbing his hands and blowing into them as he waits. he came... way too early but that's only because he finished one of his classes earlier than he thought so it's all good. he'll just wait here until kiyotaka comes! ]

You'll be fine, you're probably not going to die, and we'll be able to monitor you from here. We need help. You've got the skills needed even if you don't know it yet. I know it and that's what counts. You'll be working with a group (wish I could give you the names, still putting the lists together.) Should you choose to accept this assignment, you will need to meet at Peach Beach tomorrow morning and we'll go from there. [ That meeting was a lot to process, and she knows Ishida is in a similar boat, although she hasn't had any memories nearly as bad as he has so far. That memory he described is actually why she's texting him now, because she was still worried a day later. ]

Sorry to text you out of the blue, but I was a little worried after the meeting yesterday. It's a lot to process isn't it?

Ren is largely keeping to himself, not having much to add to the conversations but taking the information in nonetheless. The notes that were handed out are already folded and in his pocket, though he doesn't expect he'll be contacting anyone individually that he didn't already know. It's still good information to have on hand just in case.

The whole... nonsense of the city being bleached white has him on edge, even if the mood of the meeting is a relatively laid back version of productive. As a result, the serious look on his face is no less intense than usual as he glances from person to person to find something worth paying attention to.]

[ Kaede knows that Ishida also knows Leon and Mio, and she doesn't want him to hear what happened from the network or somewhere else. He doesn't deserve that.

So when she finally gets back to campus, she immediately texts him. She's barely slept and feels like she needs to rest, but there's no way she can do that now. ]

[ the two of them are hanging out SOMEWHERE, idk, maybe they're just walking around, chilling, not really having a destination in mind. naegi just finds it nice that they can hang out outside the casino and outside of work, so he doesn't really care what they do. currently, they're walking through a park when naegi suddenly realizes something ]

Hey, Kiyotaka, I never actually asked... but did you regain any memories of being a Super High School Level Gambler yet?

[ The rustling drew Kaede outside, and while she was shocked and afraid to see corn surrounding everything, she felt glad that Ishida was with her.

She's still glad, even more so really, as they walk through the maze. They could just go back inside, but it feels like they have no other choice. Besides, at this point, it feels like they have nothing left to lose by looking around.

Kaede can't help but cling onto Ishida's arm, a little worried about what might be waiting for them. ]

I wonder how long this goes on...
